Here we are again
In the same place but different
Feels like time froze for 3 years
Everyone and everything kept moving on
Changing and growing without us
But we didn’t stop
We moved too, we changed and grew
We became something different than before
We experienced joy and complete devastation
And it changed us

But here we are again
In the same place but different
How do we fit back into a life we left behind
A life that moved on in the absence of us
Its awkward and uncomfortable
Like a sweater that use to fit so well but years of being stored away made it lose its form
Now it no longer fits you

I don’t know where to begin or how to begin again
It will take time and patience I am sure
Having to push through the pain of losing and changing
But maybe this timeworn sweater can be crafted into something new
Something that fits us now and even better than before
Now that we find ourselves here again
